With only one practice session to go
coach Jack Chipchase and manager
Doc Campbell have settled on their
playing personell.
After a workout Thursday at 8 p.m.
at the South Huron Rec Centre, the
Mohawks swing into three OHA In-
termediate exhibition games.
They travel to Watford this Satur-
day night to meet the Generals of the
Cyclone league. This game is follow-
ed by a home and home series with
the Arthur Tigers.
The two clubs meet Saturday, Oc-
tober 12 in Exeter at 8:30 p.m. and the
following Tuesday night in Arthur.
Coach Chipchase has 12 players
back from a year ago. They are Louie

Cowgirls season ends
The Crediton Cowgirls ladies
fastball team ended their 1984-85
season by clinching the 'B' champion-
ship three games straight after losing
their first two final series openers to
Strathroy.
In game four of the final series the
Crediton squad got on the scoreboard
in the second inning by pounding in
four runs. In the third two more runs
crossed the plate and in the sixth in-
ning they added one more insurance
run to end the game with a 7-1 win.
Leading Crediton at the plate was
Karen Williams with a homerun in the
second inning. Brenda Wilds pound-
ed a triple and singles were hit by Lori
Devlaeminck, Brenda Iredale and
Kate Steeper.
Brenda Iredale was the winning pit-
cher with four strikeouts.
In their last game of the season, the
Cowgirls used their bats in every in-
ning to come away with a very
decisive 19-3 championship win. The
three runs by Strathroy were achiev-
ed in the first inning and the rest of
the game the opposition was not even
allowed past second base.
Excellent offensive and defensive
ball was played by the Crediton team
with exceptional hits and base runn-
ing and some fantastic catches on the
field.
Leading Crediton at the plate was
Lori Devlaeminck with four singles
and a double. Having a very suc-
cessful night were ilrenda Wilds with
a grand slam home run, triple and
two singles, Karen Bowerman with
three singles and a triple and Bren-
da Iredale with four singles. Marilyn
Smithers and Tammy Regier had
three hits apiece and Wendi Schwindt
and Fay Schenk added two hits.
Karen Williams added a triple to help
take the trophy home to Crediton.
Brenda Iredale who was Crediton's
sole pitcher through the final series
had another successful night notching
eight strikeouts.
The Cowgirls squad consisted of
