Prince Andrew
declines invite
Prince Andrew Public School,
located 10 miles north of London at
Bryanston, will celebrate its 25th an-
niversary on Saturday, October 26.
An open house will be held for all
present and former staff and
students. At 1:00 p.m ., Frank
Shoebottom, president of the Home
and School Association, will lead a
short rededication ceremony, accom-
panied by past Home and School
presidents. Afterwards, visitors may
tour the school to visit their old
classrooms, where they may renew
acquaintances with former
classmates and teachers.
Memorabilia will be on display in
some rooms and a continuous slide
show will be presented.
Invitations have been sent to all
former staff and students.
Refreshments will be served in the
gymnasium, and the Home and
School will commemorate each five
years of the school by serving a new
cake every hour. Special guests will
include past and present home and
school members, and Middlesex
County Board of Education trustees
and officials.
Prince Andrew was invited, but a
letter received from Buckingham
Palace indicated that he would be
unable to attend, because he did not
plan to be in Canada at that time.
OFF TO EXPO
The North Middlesex District High
School Choir has been accepted for
competition at the World's Fair Music
Festival at Expo '86 in Vancouver,
B.C. and plans to fly there for a six=
day visit next May.
From now to their departure date
singers, parents, teachers, friends
and neighbours will be kept busy with
fund raising, rehearsals and all the
other activities of preparing for the
big trip.

class of the Exeter school fair, Saturday.
Tag day is planned
On Wednesday, September 18, a
special meeting of the Huronia
Branch of the Ontario Humane Socie-
ty was held at the home of Katherine
McKnight in Clinton to finalize the
plans for a Tag Day on Saturday Oc-
tober 5 to raise funds for a shelter.
The Taggers will be in Clinton,
Seaforth, Goderich, Exeter, Bayfield
and possibly Blyth if there is enough
Taggers available.
The Rovers have agreed to help out
in return for their receiving half the
profits.
Each town council needs to receive
a letter requesting permission to can-
vass in their town, so a letter has been
sent to each one.
