quarter final series.
In the series opener Tuesday night

Saturday evoning, three first inning
runs by the opposition proved
disastrous as they dropped a 4-3 deci-
sion to South ?•arra. Sunday they were
eliminated from (he double -knock out
event as they dropped a hard fought
2-0 verdict to London Wolverines.

Secondary School.
The single university student in the
contest is Liz Stewart of Seaforth who
is attending the University of Guelph
in her first year. The 18 year old is the
daughter of (lac and .1oan and has a
Variety of interests including broom -
ball. playing piano and shows cattle
as a member of 4-11. She works at
McLee Farms.
Darlene Darlow is the daughter of
Ralph and Sharon of Wingham. She
attends F. E. Madill Secondary
School and is in Grade I1. Darlene is
16 and works -en her parents farm.
She enjoys horseback riding and 4-11.

The Crediton • Cowgirls ladies
fastball tear) ended this week's play
by splitting the best of three septi
finals with Parkhill. Parkhill downed
Crediton by a score of 9-4 but Crediton
bounced back with a winning score of
2-0 in their second -game..
The Crediton squad played last
night for the deciding game. if they -
won they meet Denfeld in the A finals
and if they lost they meet Strathroy
in the B finals. They will probably
play one of these games at their home
diamond Monday night. . •
In the first game against Parkhill,
the Cowgirls allowed seven runs in the
first three innings and could never
catch up to the large gap. -
Leading Crediton at the plate was
Brenda Iredale with three doubles.
Brenda' Wilds pounded out a triple
and a single and double single hits
were notched by Marilyn Smithers
and Kelly Phillips. Helping the cause
with single hits were Fay Schenk.
Tammy -Regier, Cecile Muller and
Karen Bowerman.
Brenda Wilds was Crediton's start-
ing pitcher with relief from Brenda
Iredale.
In their game Monday night. the
Crediton Cowgirls played an excellent
torr_, of baseball. the fiest defensive
game they have played all year.
The ladies allowed only five
Parkhill players to reach first base
and second base was the farthest any
of these five reached_
