Seniors attend convention

tended the Golden Agers U.S.C.O.

Tuesday and Wednesday I Aug. 13 and
14 ► as delegates from the Zurich club.
Weddings
Congratulations to Phil and Lisa
Dietrich (nee Becker) who were'mar-
ried on Saturday, August 17 at St.
Peter's Lutheran Church by Rev.
Karl Schuesster. Following the
ceremony the happy couple were
escorted through town (along with
their wedding party) by best man Jeff
Forrester in their decorated tour van,
to the dinner and reception in Hensall.
Congratulations to Tom Hartman
and Jasia Adamkiewicz who were
married at St. Josephs Church in
Stratford last Saturday with the
reception and dinner held in
Shakespeare. Tom is the son of Ray
and Janice Hartman, RR 3 Zurich.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus, Seaforth
council marched in the parade on
Saturday at the Crediton
Summerfest.
Personals
Last Monday, August 5, Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Merner and grand-
daughter Julia Merner all of Exeter
travelled with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Mit-
tleholtz and Jennifer to Rockton
African Lion Safari, then into
Hamilton to stay overnight with
relatives. They did some shopping the
next day and then on Thursday and
Friday Ken, Sylvia, and daughter
Jennifer went to Belle River and
visited with Aunt Mary Smith and
Sister Carol Mittleholtz in Windsor.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Risi along
with their two daughters and
husbands from Switzerland are
presently spending a three-week
vacation with his brother, Josef and
Connie Risi, RR 2 Zurich.
Chuck and Tanya Erb and
daughters returned home Saturday
after a lovely two-week motor trip to
Nova Scotia.
A family get-together and supper
was held at the home of Willy and
Martha Overholt on Sunday with all
their chidlren, spouses and grand-
children attending. All enjoyed play-
ing baseball afterwards over.at the
public school diamond.
Six year old Malinda Gelinas of
London is spending a few days with
her cousin, Renee Sweeney and
family.
Father Tom Mooney of Strathroy
spent a few days vacation with his
brother Fr. Paul Mooney this past
week.
