for 4-H members
Ready to use mixes, prepared "Basic Baking" is the name of the
cakes, pastries and biscuits can be 4-H project offered this fall in Huron
found in every neighborhood super- County. Members will acquire the
market but "baking from scratch" is basic skills of baking cakes, pies and
still a skill everyone should learn. tea biscuits and learn how to judge
these items.
People between the ages 12 to 21 are
invited to join this project. Adults who
have an interest in youth and some
practical knowledge of food and food
preparation are encouraged to
become a volunteer 4-H leader.
Anyone interested in participating in
4-H either as a member or leader
should contact the Agricultural Office
at 482-3428 or 1-800-265-5170.
By joining 4-H, you can "learn to do
by doing."
Nothing can beat the aroma, flavor or
sense of accomplishment, when a
freshly baked product is taken out of
the oven.
