Bride -elect honored
at Saintsbury event

Recently. aunts. I Iazel Davis. Cen-
tralia. Alexia Tindall. I.ucan and
Rowena Tindall. «'iarton sponsored a
miscellaneous shower for Brenda
Ramsey. R.N. of Bright, bride elect
of Don MacFalls, Centralia.
The shower was held in the Parish
Hall Saintsbury. A poem was compos-
ed and read by Nancy Simpson Lon-
don. piano selections by Lisa and
Julie Carroll, a romantic (Soap) con-
test followed, won by Brenda's two
younger sisters. They and Donna
MacFalis led the bride to an attrac-
tively decorated chair to the tune of
bridal march. with Sheryl Carroll al

A bridal shower was attended by
several cousins from this area Tues-
day afternoon at the home of Lenore
Cook and daughter Kim for Connie
Van Oostveen fiancee of John Stone.
Atwood. The bride received many
useful gifts and expressed her thanks.
The "Hodgins" cousins and friends
enjoyed a social hour.
Mrs. Loraine McKenzie, Lucan
held a surprise birthday luncheon for
Mrs. Jim Barker, Thursday.
Little Miss April Cunningham of
Mar enjoyed a few holidays with her
grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bob'I'in-
dall, aunt Marylou and uncle Robert.
Ile drove her home to Mar Tuesday
afternoon and visited Ron and Nan-
cy until Saturday evening.
Mrs. Ralph Simpson and -Mrs. Hugh
Davis were hostesses Sunday at the
Davis home for a McFalls - Ilicks
family gathering honouring -their
nephew Donnie McFalls and his bride
to be Brenda Ramsey. There were 48
in attendance.
Heather MacGillivray cousin of the
groom composed a poem of Donnie's
life which everyone enjoyed. Nancy
Simpson, London. and Donna McFalls
helped with the gifts. The happy cou-
ple expressed their thanks after
which everyone enjoyed a good visit
and a dip in the pool. Dinner was serv-
ed by the hostesses assisted by
Heather. Suzanne and Nancy.
