Santa is real
By Brad Borland
Lisbon* Central
Is jo11Y, old St. Nick really
a, magical. fun -loving gift
giver oar is he just a fake?
To some people Santa is
any radiant person who gives
jifts. To other people Santa is
ust a magic legend come
alive at Christmas. On the
other hand, little . children
believe that Santa is a
magical, loveable man who
brings presents on Christmas
eve.
Has the magic of Santa
disappeared with time? Per-
sonally, I think it has. The on-
ly people who believe in the
spirit of Santa Claus are the
little children. It is my believe
Mat the people from teens
and up have lost all the
wonder and the magic of San-
ta Claus.
From all this there is ob-
viously no such person as
Chris • Kringle, otherwise
known as Santa. Right? Of
course.
Just one more thing,
though. How do you explain
the sound of hoofbeats on the
roof, the sleigh bells and the
faint calling of ho, ho, ho in
the distance?
I believe that somewhere in
the North Pole sits little
workshop and right now San-
ta is getting ready for his long
trip on Christmas Eve.
I also believe that if you ,
have been good all year, you
might just catch a glimpse of
jolly, old St. Nick on that
magical night.
