A hymn sing was enjoyed, followed by a short story en- titled, "Born to NC, read by Rev. Maureen McLeod -Walter. .The roll call answered by "If t could change anything about Christmas, what would I change", brought out some interesting ideas. The worship service was concluded with "A Christmas Prayer" which ended thus. •"Oh.. Forgive us, heavenly Father. and help us find the wary 10 understand each other, and live Christmas every day." • President. • Mrs. Root. McCallum. conducted the business session. Annual reports were given by the secret al'V, -MI's. McNaughton; the treasurer Mrs. Tw•ynstra. • and the Friendship and Service Con- vener Nell Tw'eddle. All three reports were gratifying and seconded •e � c b • y Mrs. r Marg Eagleson. The group then completed an "Evaluation of : Mis>ion Study for the Presbyterial President", and the "Annual report for local adult groups". We were reminded to be at the Craigholme on Sunday. Dee. 12. at 1' p.tn. to present the Christmas program Which we did at our church supper. - The meeting was closed with .a -poem by Mrs. Robt.. McCallum reminding us to "Fear not. your Saviour King is born this night". A short fellowship_ and snack time was enjoyed before leaving, just ahead of the snowflakes. Sunday evening the C.G.I.T. group and leader, Mrs. Neil Trevithick presented their annual Vesper; service in the United Church.. The theme was."ls that all there is?" which provoked some thought as to what one really believes about Christmas. It invited those par- ticipating to think about the world in which they live and to think about the Christmas story in its full context by ask- ing the question, Is that all there is'' Is it enough? It was found that by exploring the question. .that yes, it is. enough. The Explorers took part in the singing with Mrs. Jack Trevithick at the piano, and the ('.G.1.T. group sang the anthem "Look' out the Window". Candles of Hope. Love and - Faithfulness were lit and the congregation was 'asked to bring not only their gifts. of money but to respond by pledging a special service. :1n enjoyable time of fellowship followed in the Sun- day school room.
