It Looks as though we might
have a white Christmas. Best
of all, winter has began and
the days will be getting
longer, slowly but surely.
Miss Eleanoi• Plumsteel
and Mrs. Valeda Corriveau
have returned from the Lon-
don Hospitals. also Mrs. Ja-
ques who had a short stay
there.
On Tuesday evening, we
were pleased to have the Ex-
eter Brownie Pack visit and -
present each resident with a
card and treat. Their pro-
gram Was very much enjoyed
by all in attendance.
• The draw for the afghan and
pillow and floor pillow took
place on Tuesday evening.
The lucky winner of the
afghan and matching pillow
were won by Mr. W.H. Fin-
nigan. London and Nap Cor-
riveau. Zurich. won the floor
pillow-. We thank Mrs.
Florence Gould who made the
Christmas get-togethers
enjoyable part of season
Due to the snow in the
winter months, everyone is
asked not to park their cars
on the road but in their
driveway so that the road
superintendent,' Dennis
Kegler , can plow the streets.
Little Bradley Douglas
Turkheim was baptized on
Sunday, December 12th at St.
Boniface Church. He is the
son of Doug and Mary -Lou
Turkheim. His godparents
were Garry and Cheryl
O'Brien of London.
The family of Mr. and Mrs.
Elzar Masse with all their
spouses and children enjoyed
Christmas dinner together on
Friday at the Dashwood Com-
munity Centre.
Employees of the Hay Twp.-
Farniers Mutual Fire In-
surance Co. along with their
better halves celebrated
Christmas with dinner at the
Dominion Tavern on Friday
evening, followed by the
showing of home movies and
playing a few games of bingo.
On Tuesday, December
14th the St. Boniface C.W.L.
Christmas meeting was in the
form of a mothers and
daughters pot luck supper in
the school gym. With 52
mothers and 61 children at-
tending. Six ladies were
presented with their 25 year
pins.
$130.00 will be sent to save
a family plan and $50.00 to the
hnipJeJ
afghan and donated it to the
home.
Mrs. Shirley Luther of Hen-
sall visited on Tuesday after-
noon bringing each resident a
treat and spending time with'
them to sing Christmas
carols.
On behalf of the residents
and staff, we thank Mr.
Ducharme for his generous
gift of apples and Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Smith for the car-
ton of oranges,also all others
who have brought in treats for
the staff.
Bingo as played on Friday
evening followed by
refreshments.
On Sunday morning, the
senior choir from the Men-
nonite church, assembled and
sang Christmas music for the
residents.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by
Rev. Bob Matheson of
Thames Road United Church,

sent to Exeter.
Christmas shut-in baskets
were made at the home of
Cecilia Farwell last Wednes-
day afternoon and delivered
between Zurich and lfensall.
A sing -song followed, then
Santa Claus came and hand-
ed out candy canes to all
present.
Miss Diane Klopp. of Ed-
monton flew home on Sunday,
December 19 to spend
Christmas and New Year's
with her parents llerb and
Donna Klopp and family. .
Little Joel Bradly Regier,
son of Dennis and Lorraine
Regier was baptlied this past
Sunday at St Boniface
Church by Father Mooney.
HiS godparents were Dave
and Joanne Regier from
Kitchener.
The staff member's and
their spouses Irom the Bank
of Commerce. Ilensall, had
their Christmas dinner at the
Dominion Dining Lounge an(1
Tavern, Zurich.

Gerald O'Rourke and grand-
children (24 in all enjoyed a
delicious turkey 'dinner with
all the trirnming at the Domi-
nion Tavern on Sunday. Cin-
dy's twentieth birthday was
celebrated.
