Public School Christmas concert a
On Wednesday December
15 the Hensall Public Sehool
held its annual concert, with
a very Targe crowd in atten-
dance. It was particularly
pleasing to see so many
families at the concert.
Proceedings got underway
with a few brief remarks
from the principal, Robert
Raeburfi and the songs were
sung by a Junior Choir of
Grades one to foul' pupils.
Following this group, the
Kindergarten class sang a
variety of Christmas music.
The grade two class with help
from grade three presented a
play Christmas in Mother
Goose Land while grade 5-6
participated in three skits or
plays "Mischieveous Mouse",
"Roily Cat's Christmas and
"Christmas Around the
World".
A square dancing group
from grade four performed
three numbers, while the
grade 3-4 pupils were involv-
ed in a play "Standing Up For
Santa" and the grade 1-2 class
stdged the play Twas the
Night Before Christmas".
The senior choir contributed

Little Christmas". Grades 7-8
students concluded the pro-
gram with "Gift Ideas".
Much of the music
presented in the program was
under the direction of Mrs.
Sheila Armstrong with Mrs.
Phylis Deichert accompany-
ing at the piano.
Amber Rebekah Lodge meets
Noble Grand Mrs.
Margaret Consitt presided for
the meeting of Amber
Rebekah Lodge on Wednes-
day evening assisted by Jr.

On December 13, Helen

their Christmas meeting •
Nineteen members
answered the roll call with a
Christmas wish. Shirley,
McAllister showed pictures
and told a very interesting ac-
count of their trip to Italy,
Austria, and Switzerland.
Joyce Pepper was
presented with a gift from the
Unit in thanks for her work as
leader for the past three
years. -
The special project money
was received and it was
decided to send it to help the
blind.

Seniors enjoy Christmas
entertainment.

Citizens held their Christmas
Party on Tuesday evening
with a verygood attendance,
all enjoying a bountiful turkey
dinner. •

TELLING SANTA — When Santa dropped in to a
Children's party in Hensall hosted by the Kinsmen,
Regan Neilands hod a chahce to sit on his knee. Over
100 children were treated to movies, chocolate milk and
chips; and a bag of candies.
