Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Reid Vi-
pond, London visited their
cousins Mr. and Mrs. Ken
Smithers, Sunday.
The sympathy of the com-
munity is extended to Cory
and Louise Vandenberk on
the death of her mother Mrs.
Henricus Timmermans, and
the relatives of Ivan Sharp
who passed away recently.
Everyone enjoyed the fine
weather of the past few weeks
and especially the farmers of
the area who have been work-
ing day and night to finish the
harvesting of beans and corn
and get the fall ploughing
completed.
Allan Hayter has been in
Rainy River on business.
It was a very special day at
Greenway United Church
Sunday when a beautiful oak
wall cross was dedicated to
the glory of Godin memory of
Bae and Lloyd Brophey by
their family. The scripture
was read by Marion Larmer
and the Rev.. Moore spoke on
"The Calling of the Cross."
The choirs united to -provide
special music for the
occasion.
Hallowe'en passed quietly
in our area. A few spooks
were on the prowl. Animals
walked on two feet instead of
their usual four and witches
flitted by the window.
If anyone finds a
broomstick please return it to
Greenway as one witch lost
hers and had to ride in a car.
I hope you had a happy
Hallowe'en.
