The day was exhaustive but
worthwhile as teachers

regular organist . Mrs.

Rev. Pocock based his
message 'on the appointed
readings for the 21st Sunday
after Pentecost, in particular,
he used Hebrews 5: 1-10. He -
spoke on the need to clarify
who is the 'Head of the
Church'? It is not the parish
priest, as so many people
falsely believe. Christ is the
Head and through Christ we
his followers are the Church.
As a parish, it is urgent that
we come to grips with this
false belief. Christ must be
the authority. behind all our
decision making, made
together - parish priest and
people - He alone can direct
us in the way of working
together in harmony and with
direction, in becoming effec-
tive apostles in the world.
