nounced that her mother is
having a trousseau tea at her
home on November 6 to which
all friends are invited.

cessful rummage sale in the
school room on Saturday and
will hold their Annual Bazaar
and Tea on Saturday,
November 6 at 3 p.m. The
W.M.S. and Ladies will meet
on November 1 at 8:00 p.m.
for the November meeting.

Temporary employment offered
to 16.24age group by OMAF
The Ministry of Agriculture
and Food in conjunction with
The Youth Secretariat, is of-
fering an employment pro-
gram for youth in Ontario.
To be eligible for employ-
ment, a youth must be bet-
ween 16 - 24 years of age and
looking for work for at least 12
weeks. Preference will be
given to those who want to
work and will not necessari-
ly be based on educational
qualifications.
The employment period is
for 12 to. 20 weeks beginning
.no earlier than November 8,
and ending no later than
March 30. Deadline for ap-
plications for initial employ-
ment is November 1.
The youths will be paced Drs..
farms with the idea that they
will be obtaining .on-the-job-.
training. The employee must
be willing to do any sort of
farm labour', including clean-
ing barns, keeping records,
operating machinery and
general maintenance. Hor-
ticultural enterprizes are also
included.

those over 21 years as well as the
regular' junior classes.
Host farmers for the pro-
gram are also required. They
must be willing to train youth
for the winter months. There
is not direct cost to the
farmer; however, in some
cases room and board may be
requested. Farmer hosts are
-needed who are willing to pro-
vide a source of information '
and experience to these
youths.
