Plan to see 'Ma and Pa Ket- tle' November 19 at the Centre. Tea and cookies were serv- ed by the Activity Centre Committee. UCW meets Tuesday morning the U.C.W. met at the Craigholme. Along with the residents we enjoyed the musical entertainment provided by Marg and Leroy Walker. They were thanked by Mrs. (Fred) Ida Bice on behalf of the residents, and on behalf of the ,U.C.W., Mrs. Wm. Sutherland presented a gift to them. A delicious assortment of squares were served along with coffee. Mrs. Max MacGregor presided over the brief business. Secretary and treasurer gave reports. Mrs. Hank Bennin- dyke opened the worship period with singing of hymn, "We gather together." She discussed the New Testament story of the 10 lepers and how only one remembered to give thanks. She suggested that we apply any lesson taken from this story to our own lives par- ticularly at this time of Thanksgiving. Mrs. Ray Consitt introduc- ed the guest speaker for the evening, Mrs. Diane Gerstenkorn of Hensall who demonstrated dried flower arranging, using articles available in the fall. President, Mrs. David Turner opened the business portion of the evening with a poem entitled, "Thanks". She noted that the roll call in November will be answered by donating an article suitable to be sent to Betty Bridgeman for her work in Zaire. Social committee advised that preparations are well underway for the fall supper being held Wednesday, November 17 in Brucefield Church Hall. Tickets to be sold were distributed to all members. The nominating committee, Mrs. Emerson Kyle and Mrs. David Cooper, will present the 1983 slate of officers at the November meeting. Invita- tion to visit Zurich U.C.W. November 4 was accepted.
