MEL GRAHAM Clerk TOWNSHIP OF STANLEY sang a duet which was very pleasing. The three scripture lessons for Sunday were Numbers 11.: 24-30, James 5: 1-11 and Mark 9:. 38-50 tell us more about how not to show thanks than how to give thanks. There ure those who are ex- ploited anti 4ppressed as the result of a predominant culture, an exploitative and oppressive political regime or system in this country or op- pressive economic conditions so prevalent in our world today. should not be like Jesus' disciples in Mark 9: 38-50 who So jealously guarded the gifts that were theirs. We need to be on the guard for the rights of others so others may be able to gain the same rights, privileges and abundance we have. Then and only then coula our world truly be 'thankful. Then and only then could we truly say that humanity would be living up to the con- ditions that God through Christ has set out for us.
