In Isaiah 50:4-10 the pro-
phet has a three -fold
message. He recognizes he is

others - no matter what the

(we are included in this au-
dience that we also are call-
ed to be servantk of God and
those around us. The third
dimension of Isaiah's words
speaks about the type of Ser-
vant and Messiah would be.
The cost of our faith often
appears to be more than we _
think we can afford, and yet,
if we give up the battle then
who is the winner - are we or
will we soon be forgotten as
just another fallen victim
along the road of life?
We do have choices in life.
We also have responsibilities.
Our lessons, here, remind us
we, as Christians, have been
called into the life of Christ
called to be servants of
others. Servanthood is a
trademark of the Christian
faith! Who needs a card?

will provide $270 million to hire local workers for projects that improve the com-
munities in which they live. Young people, men and women and disabled Canadians,
will be building their work skills and.experience, while building their communities.
If you have an idea that will enhance the economic or social lite of your
community and employ three Or more local people full-time, visit your local Canada
Employment Centre. Applications and program irtforni ation are available for sponsor
organizations, local corporations and cooperatives who've got the experience to
organize and coordinate community-based employment programs like CCDP.
Job creation is it vital component of the federal government's six and live economic
recovery plan.
