Exeter Co-op Juniors Ontario Baseball Association Junior D Champions Jitneys for lawn bowlers Two jitneys were' held at the Exeter lawn bowling club this week. Peter Mcfealls was Tues- day's winner with two vic- tories and an aggregate of 27 while Ernie Chipchase and Percy Campbell were close behind in second place with aggregates of 26 and pluses of one. Following were Bill Roger- son with an aggregate of 24, Ruth Skinner scored 20 and Ross Richardson 18. The winner in ` Thursday night's competition was Ernie Chipchase with two wins and an aggregate of 29. Velma Huff was second with an ag- gregate of 23 and Gertrude Hamilton and Peter Mci"alls were tied for third with equal scores of 20. Joe Woods with a score of 96 was the "A" winner in Sun- day's annual William Kyle and WR Cooper shoot at the Kippen gun club. Darrell Dennis was the run- nerup with a score of 95 while the "B" title was won by Dan Crerar with a score of 92. The runnerup was Bob Ironside at 91. Taking the "C" champion- ship with a score of 87 was - Roy Lamport and Paul D'Elia was runnerup. D'Elia was also the youngest competitor. The oldest was Lloyd Venner. In Tuesday's regular shoot at the Kippen club, AI Kyle and George Hamm were tied for top spot with scores of 25 each. Next at 24 came John Hessels, Jack Bell, John ' Anderson and Lloyd Venner. Season ends for Cowgirls The Crediton Cowgirls finished their season by losing two straight games to ParkhW in the semi finals. Parkhill goes on to meet the winner between Ailsa Craig and Denfield for the finals. In their first game of the series the ladies lost 6.4 in the seventh Inning after letting in two runs breaking a tie game. Leading Crediton at the plate were Joanne Scott and Sandy O'Neill with three singles apiece and a double by Teresa Van Raay. Adding singles Were Deb Lord, Kate Steeper and Fay Schenk. Deb Lord was the pitcher for Crediton and Teresa McGee pitched for Parkhill. In their recon game, the Crediton squad had a 2-0 lead until the. fifth inning when Parkhill got in three runs with two errors and one base hit. In the sixth inning the. Cowgirls again allowed two runs on the same amount of errors. Leading Crediton at the plate was Sandy O'Neill with a double and single, Brenda Wilds pounded out a home run and singles were hit by Deb Lord, Tammy Regier and Shelley Weluv. Brenda Wilds pitched for Crediton and Teresa McGee again came away with the win. - The Crediton team con- sisted of Tammy Regier, Deb Lord, Brenda Wilds, Wilma Lagerwerf, Sandy O'Neill, Teresa Van Raay, Joanne Scott, Barb Mitchell, Michelle Vandergunst, Wendi Schwindt, Shelley Weber, Kate Steeper,, Marilyn Smithers and Fay Schenk.
