Kathy Love was awarded the Anstett Jewellers Prize for being the top metnber in the 4-H Beef and Dairy Calf club. Kathy also won the Zurich Chamber of Commerce trophy for top showman in the Beef and Dairy Calf Club. Winning the prize donated by Frayne Chev Olds of Ex- eter for the best beef animal was'Mark Erb, while Caroline Tickner won the prize donated by Jack Doer, Ex- eter. Top showman in the dairy division was Al Dunn, who won the Hensall-Zurich Co -Op prize and the top showman in the beef division was Kathy Love who won the Hensall Motors prize. The trophy donated by the 4-H horse and pony club leaders, Joan Van Slightenhorst and ' Ray Rasenberg for the top club member, was awarded to Caroline Tickner who also won the top showmanship award donated by Gerry MacLean and Son Sports, Exeter. Special prizes won in the ladies division at the Zurich fair were: • The "Champion Cook" award a gift certificate from the Village Market of Bayfield, goes to Mrs. Carol Anna Dolmage of Londesboro with 60 points in the sewing division of the ladies division of the ladies department. The Zurich Women's In- stitute Special for the most points in the Junior Homemaking Class was won by Colleen Regier of Zurich. Mrs. Elizabeth Riley of Hensall won the merchandise voucher from the Varna General Store for the most points in the Liquid Em- broidery Class. School children's division Winners of the Zurich Lion's Club special for the most points in the school children's department are: Marty Merner, Kathy Merner, Anne Deichert, Carolyn Love, Donna Turkheim, Sheila Regier, Mary Ducharme and Jodi Brokenshire. Prize winners in the Huron County Historical Society displays were Gerard Regier and Janet Regier of St. Boniface School. Times-Advocate, August 5,1982 Poge 11 SHE MOVES TO TOWN - When Christina Lansbergen decided to move from the farm one mile north of Zurich, sons Adrian; Tony, Neil and Ted, and son-in-law Fran- cis moved house and contents to a lot on Zurich's main street. INTER -COUNTY WINNERS - The Exeter 4-H calf club won the judging competition at the seven -county Regional Judging Day competition at the Stratford Coliseum on July 29 with a futuristic skit demonstrating calf selection in the year 2000. Tickets may be pur- chased here or from any member of the Auxiliary. The draw will be made at the Zurich Bean Festival on the last Sdturday of August. Bingo was played on Friday evening followed by refreshments. The Sunday evening chapel service was conducted by Rev. Stanley McDonald of Hensall United Church. Mrs. Middleton presided at the organ during the time of ser- vice. Mrs. Jessie Brock favoured with a solo, "In The Garden."
