Mervyn Tiernan and Alice
Hoffman were united in mar-
riage July 20, 1932 by Rev.
Sauer in Dashwood
Evangelical Church, now the
United Church.
They have twodaughters -
(Nancy) Mrs. Bob Stormed
St. Thomas, (Lynda) Mrs.
Robert Cornelius, Sarnia and
five grandchildren.
Present for the occasion
were the best man, Harry
Hoffman; flower girl, Ruth
Guenther (Mrs. Glen Walper,
Cambridge) and the ring
bearer, Russel Tieman, Ex-
eter. The bridesmaid Mrs.
Anne Cook, Guelph was
unable to attend.
Greeting guests was David
Stormes, St. Thomas. In
charge of the guest book were
Peter Stormes and Mark
Cornelius.
Pouring tea were Mrs. Myr-
to Evans, Mrs. Tom Evans,
Richmond Hill; Mrs. Harry
Hoffman and Mrs. Ken
McCrae. Serving were nieces,
Mary Jane (Mrs. Jack
Taylor) Exeter; Bonnie (Mrs.
Bill Ford), London; Kathryn
Charles, Richmond Hill; and
.granddaughter, Susan
Stormes and Stacey Cor-
nelius. Also assisting were
Mrs. Lovella Tieman and
Mrs. Elda Koehler.
Over 150 called to extend
good wishes to the Tiemans
including a former minister
and his wife, Rev. and Mrs.
Henry Getz, Pembroke.
Others were from London, St.
Thomas, Sarnia, Chatham,
Hensall, Kitchener, Exeter,
Zurich, Crediton, Grand Bend
and Dashwood.
They were recipients of
many flowers, gifts and
cards, including a plaque
from the town and a letter
from Jack Riddell, MPP.
