Exeter second
in swim meet
Saturday it was the first
WW1 meet et the summer.
E*eter boated the meet for
Kirkton, Seaforth and
Goderich.
Exeter swimming placed
well oily 25 points behind the
winning Goderich team.
Seaforth placing fourth had
139h ts, Kirkton in third
with Exeter with 251 and
Goderich with 276.
Rob Russell/ swam well
placing firsn freestyle,
breaststrok and butterfly:
Other first place swimmers
for Exeter were: Lynn
Stephens, Fred Steciuk, Kim
Lingard, Steve Lingard, Dave
Russell and Liz Cottrell.
Exeter also had a first
place finish in boys 13 and 14
free relay and girls open free
relay.
Other swimmers that show-
ed good performance were:
Julia Merner, Scott Baptist,
Jonathon O'Connor, and
Sheila Dougall.
The pool staff would like to
thank Lorna Russell and
Carolyn Merner for their help
at the meet and for all the
supporters of the team.
Ironwood ladies
pot luck dinner
The Ironwood ladies golf
club will be holding a golf
outing and pot luck dinner on
Wednesday, July 14 with
visitors from Seaforth and
the Exeter Golf and Country
club. Activities will go rain
or shine. •
In Wednesday's regular
play, Cindy Forrest, Mary
Jane Taylor, Carol Taylor
and Marian Ogilvie won
hidden score prizes and the
door prize was , won by
Marian Ogilvie.

Gary Dolphin at 47 and
Doug Johnston with a score
of 31 were the gross and net
winners, respectively in "D"
flight.. Jack Chipchase was
closest to the flag missing
the cup by less than one foot.
