Bill Chessell had an ex-
citing experience on his
fishing trip to Powassan last
week. He landed a 38 inch, 13
pound pike.

got a couple of drenchings
when the big fellow slapped
the water with his tail.
The fish put a hole in the
_landing net, too in his attempt
to escape. We put back a lot
of good bass, so we're hoping
to catch them again on our
summer trip. The weather in
the north has been beautiful
all spring.
The Varna Midget Girls will
be playing ball in Goderich
at6:30 on Friday, and in Kin-
cardine at 7:00 the following
Thursday.
