Thrower's message topic Sunday morning at Thames Road United Church was, "Good Managers". He spoke of some of the things that made a person a good Timet -Advocate, June 9,1982 Pof70 5 manager. Many of these traits are learned when so- meone entrusts someone else with a responsibility and has to account for this privilege or honour. Coupled with being good managers, we also should be able to take our word managers away and insert the word witnesses, thereby giving a double job...that of being good managers and also good witnesses. The children were given a demonstration of faith or as Mr. Thrower said, "trust". Wherever one of these words are used the other can be us- ed instead. To demonstrate, he asked for a volunteer who would trust him, not knowing what was going to happen next. He then asked the volunteer to fall backwards...trusting or having enough faith that he would not fall to the floor. Not all present would volunteer thus equating the demonstra- tion of life itself. The Messengers will hold their meeting on Thursday, June 10 at 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the church basement. There will be no Sunday School Sunday, June 13 owing to the anniversary.
