His godparents were Adrian and Nelly Couwenberg of near Woodstock. Several high school students of S.H.D.H.S. Exeter attended the formal on Fri- day evening held at the Rec Centre with the theme being Caribbean Cruise. The hall was appropriately decorated for the occasion, complete with a water fountain, flowers, ship's captain. It was really nice and congratula- tions to students of the year - Marg Pym and Matt McClure. Intended for last week Catherine Kelly and daughter Erin from North Bay spent a few days this past week with relatives in Zurich, Mozart and Julie Gelinas Jr. Catherine and Erin left Dad Mark, back home to fight off the black flies, and will be spending a few more weeks with grandparents John and Rose Kelly in London while waiting for the fly season to pass. Mrs. Donna Klopp and Mrs. Margaret Deichert were delegates at the Lutheran's Church Women's Biannual Convention held in Waterloo at the Wilfrid Laurier Univer- sity recently. Some attended from as far as Sudbury and the East Coast. Annie Finkbeiner and Don- na Klopp were dinner guests at an appreciation night last Tuesday held at the Huron - view Nursing Home, Clinton. It was a way to -say thank you to all the volunteer drivers who take people there for day care. Don and Elaine Beauchamp, Zurich along with his parents, Lionel and Joyce Beauchamp of Pem- broke and Kay Cliche all went on a bus trip to Nashville from Friday to Monday which they found was a lot of fah. They enjoyed the nice warm weather but arrived home tired. Sister Carmel Farwell of Golden Glimpses It is nice to be back to the sunny days again so that residents can enjoy the outdoors. The regular monthly birth- day party was held on Tues- day evening, sponsored by the Dashwood Women's Institute. The musical program was en- joyed by the residents and we thank all those who took part in providing the entertainment. Residents having birthdays during the month of May were Mrs. Mary Richardson, Mrs. Jenetta Finnigan and Mr, Harold Thiel. Birthday gifts were presented, courtesy of the ladies auxiliary of the home. Following the pro- gram, a delicious lunch was served. On Thursday afternoon, some of the students from St. Boniface school presented a musical program consisting of flute. music and square dancing. Mrs. Margaret Pfaff is presently in Victoria Hospital and Mr. Gerald Sreenan in South Huron Hospital. Bingo was played on Friday evening, followed- by refreshments. Residents who have been out during the week are Mr. and Mrs. -Arnold Westlake, Mrs. Rachel Amann, Mrs. Ella Drysdale, Mrs. May Rowcliffe and Mrs. Ruby Hoggarth. The Sunday evening chapel service was conducted by Rev. Clayton Kuepfer of the Zurich Mennonite Church. HESER DAVIS The congregation of St. Patrick's church celebrated their 110th anniversary Sun- day. Rev. Greg Smith was in charge of the Holy Commu- nion Service. Mrs. Wayne Carroll was pianist and 'ac- companied the soloist Mrs. Bob MacGillivray who sang "The Church by the side the Road". Flowers on the alter were in loving memory of the late Raymond Greenlee placed there by his family. Lessons were read by Mrs. Heber Davis and Mrs. Wayne Carroll. Rev.
