Trust also means "con- fidence, faith, and the person or thing so trusted.,. Trust is "confidence in the reliability of persons or things without careful investigations..' On paper,, trust seems sim- ple enough, but, when it comes to putting the word in- to action, it's a different story. Many people have trouble trusting. We always seem to be looking for alternatives. The organist was Larry Lewis of London and the soloist was Mrs. Cliff Cook,Dunt of bride. Mrs. Irene Cook, grandmother of bride played piano solo 'Until' which was sung at her, wedding sixty years ago. Reception followed in Kirkton Community Hall. Rebekahs plan events NG Cheryl Edwards welcomed 42 members to the Pride of Huron Rebekah Lodge Wednesday evening. VG Audrey Rowe assisted With the business and gave the visiting report. The charter was draped in memory of PGM John Calvert. The members were reminded of supplying apple pies for the,barbecue during Heritage Days• also they are participating in the flea market. Representative to the Rebakah Assembly in Toron- to in June will be PNG Margaret Cook and the scholar and alternate representative will be PNG Marjorie Arthur. Members decided to have a bus trip in September also there will be lamburgers sold at the booth at Exeter Fall Fair. It was announced the in- augural meeting will be held June 23 in the Lodge Hall at 8 p.m. . Several sisters reported on recent visits to neighbouring Lodges - SisJean Noels on the Stratford visit when Ruth Rebekah Lodge celebrated their 85th birthday. PNG Joyce Morgan on the Parkhill visit when the Exeter officers opened Lodge. PNG Jean Hodgert on the visit to Clinton when Huronic PNG's had their friendship night. All reported . very enjoyable evenings. Following Lodge a film on funerals was shown by Irvine Armstrong. Many questions were answered by Mr. Arm- strong. This fain was very educational explaining many procedures we do not know about. Also the Manu things your funeral director will do for the family: PNG Joyce Morgan presented Mr. Arm- strong with a gift and the thanks of the Lodge. Following the film a delicious lunch was served by the committee in charge. Groups meet at Kirkton Ry MRS. HAROLD DAVIS Kirkton The A.C.W. met Thursday evening May 20 at the Rec.: tory. Mrs. J. McCormick presided for the meeting. Rev. Greg Smith read the scripture reading. Guest 'speaker was Mrs. Bryan Smith. Lucan who was very interesting. She spoke on the life of her eight year old daughter who is attending the blind school at Brantford. Rev. Smith closed the meeting with prayer. Lunch . was served by Ethel Copeland and'+,hostess. Kirkton.U.C.W. meeting for May was held in the church with guests from Thames Road and Staffa The.meeting opened with a duet played by Vicki Burgin and Mrs. Earl Stephens. In charge of the worship service were Mrs. Robt. Ratcliffe. Mrs. Norman Amos. Mrs. Earl Stephen. 'Mrs. Roger Urquhart and Mrs. Reverend King. David Switzer and Michael Osborne gave a duet. The maid of honour was Brenda Riddell and bridesmaids were Carolyn Hartman, Deb- bie Regier, Laura Wilder and Patty Hartman. Flower girl was Julie Egon, niece of the bride. Best man was Dan Overhoh, and groomsmen were Eugene Hartman, Mark Regier, Ken Overholt and Mark Hartman.
