God called him home, it was His

As in the hour he passed away.

That grief can call its own.

And memories build a lane
I'd walk all the way to Heaven,

To bring you home again.
So many times I've needed you
So many times I've cried
If love could have saved you Dad
You never would have died.

Reject bid
on promotion
Exeter's industry and
tourism promotion commit-
tee won't consider a video
tape promotional campaign
until early next year in view
of current budget limitations.
A Goderich firrtt recently
showed town council the video
tape promotions being used
by Goderich and Brantford
and the matter was discussed
at this month's meeting of the
committee.
In his report to council,
chairman Bill Mickle said the
committee felt that meeting
contacts directly was the pre-
sent priority in relationship to
the budget. However, the
audio-visual aids will be fur-
ther discussed early next
year.
The contmittee indicated
there may be a need for a se-
cond printing of the town
brochure. Brochures have
been sent to several govern-
ment agencies and 28 were
recently sent to chamber of
commerces in cities in Ger-
many. There are approx-
imately 130 brochures left in
stock.
The committee has receiv-
ed requests for information
from seven German in-
dustries and the information
has been supplied.
Mickle also noted that 11
local firms have replied to the
town's questionnaire regar-
ding the availability of in-
dustrial or commercial land
and if there may be local in-
dustries, contractors, real
estate firms, financial institu-
tions or owners of industrial
property interested in joint
ventures with foreign firms.
The committee discussed
contents required for a facts
kit to contain background in-
formation for interested in-
dustries and they will be for-
warding a letter to the plann-
ing board outlining the types
of industries responding to
advertisements in German
publications with a request
that the board review and
make sure that the industries
interested in Exeter are
covered by zoning bylaws.
