May 1 on their 45th wedding
anniversary.
Sunday a family dinner
was held at the home of their
daughter and son4n-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Wayne Pridham,
Staffa.
The room was decorated in
blue and white bells with a
lace covered table, the cake
was flanked by blue'candles.

Kippen U.C.W. was held in
the Sunday School room May
11. Worship led by Mrs.
Emerson Kyle took the form
of a play entitled, "God's
Luggage Shop." It was a
reminder to us to use our
talents wisely.
Mrs. • Bert Faber in-
troduced the special guest
for the evening, Mrs..
Rosemary- Armstrong, from
the Huron Day Centre for the
Homebound. Through her
Articles for the bale being
packed are to be at the
church by Sunday, May 30.
Date of June meeting has
been changed to Thursday,
June 10 and will be held at
the "Country Spire" on
Highway 83. (Watch Church
bulletin for more detail.
Following an auction of
craft items donated by the
members lunch was served
by the hostesses Mrs. John
Cooper and Mrs. Lloyd
Lostell.

May 24 celebration

The Crediton and District
Social Club held their monthly
meeting Tuesday in the town
' hall. Their May dance, the
last one until fall, was held
Saturday evening. Members
and guests danced to the
music of Country Caravan
featuring John Wurm on the
fiddle.
Zion United Church will be
holding anniversary service
Sunday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m.
This is the 131st anniversary
of the founding of a congrega-
tion in the community.
Rev. Stan McDonald, Hen-
sall will be guest pastor. A
lunch will be served at 12 noon
followed by a time • of
fellowship. The junior and
senior choirs will provide
special music.
The Crediton Firemen's
Association will be having a
May 24 celebration beginning
at 8:00 p.m. in the communi-
ty park. Roger Quick and The
Rainbows along with the
BX93 Roadrunner will be pre-
sent to make this a special
time for the family. Come out
and enjoy the evening.
Everyone is welcome.
Mrs. Anne Cottel, Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Caldwell and
Karen, Blyth attended the
graduation of Anne's brother
Mr. Steven Caldwell from
Centralia College.
Bill Schwartz is a patient in
South Huron Hospital.
Lloyd Fahner has returned
home from Memorial
Hospital, Sunday.
