The Colonials playing in the -London and district soccer league held London Slavia to a 1-1 tie in Sunday action. The lone Grand - Bend goal was booted by Peter Becky. The Colonials will be back in action Sunday at 2 p.m. on their home field when they entertain London Srbija. The Grand Bend team in the Ausable soccer loop played a 5-5 tie with Wallaceburg after defeating Lucan 5-2 a week earlier. Scoring for Grand Bend against Wailaceburg were Bill Mennen, Gerry Wilde, Dave Grojten, Sam Welten and Joe Mommersteeg The Exeter Centennials will be in Grand Bend Sunday at 4 p.m. for an Ausable league game to complete a doubleheader. • AREA. Dave Holtsmann. captured "A" flight low gross honours with a 39. Low net winner with a 34 was Bob Fletcher. In "B" flight, Don Heywood , and Ernie Chip - chase were the low gross winners with scores of 40 and 43, rspectively.Best in net were Gabby Mol and Brad Deters with 32 and 33, espectixely. John Morgan and Mery Cudmore fired identical 45's o lead the low gross com- petitors in "C" flight. Net winners at 32 were Fred Mommersteeg and Bob Drouillard. A score of 51 enabled Ted Van Roestel to take "D" flight -low grass and Jerry Dewan won low net with a 37. Don Beaver was closest to the pin. The club meets each Tuesday night and , new 's golf members are welcome. The Ironwood ladies club starts tonight Wednesday with golfing followed by a pot luck supper. President, Eileen Rennie conducted the business. A two ball foursome will be ' held June 22, Monkey Golf, August 17,- playoffs Sep- tember -7 and 'closing banquet September 14.
