Expos area scout Harry
Moore will be holding an
instructional clinic for area
boys from tyke to junior and
the instructional clinic is
applicable to both softball
and hardball. There is no
charge to attend and the
instructions are top-notch.
Harry Moore is the scout
credited with signing Tim
Wallak and, Tim Raines of
the Expos. When Harry was
with the San Francisco
Giants, he signed Chris Spier
and when he moved to the
Montreal Expos Scouting
department he was in
strumental in bringing Spier
to Montreal.
Going back years earlier
when Harry scouted for the
Detroit Tigers, he signed
Willie Horton, Jim Northrup,
and Bill Freeham.
This is the first time a
major league club will be
holding an instructional
clinic in Exeter. Later. in
June Torontd Blue Jays
scout Reid Hefferman will
oer ' to Exeter to hold
another instructional clinic
and then in July, Detroit

Smith. The last goal was
scored byShawn Rotteau on
a low hand drive. It was an
easy game for the forwards
with the half line and
fullbacks playing extremely
-well in a supporting role.
The Centennials look fairly
strong this year with the
same team from last year
plus some additional new
players which seem to be
fitting in well. Exeter looks
extremely strong in goal
with Blair Burbidge
returning in top form.
. Veterans Bill White, John
Rasenberg, Joe Laurie and
newcomer Pete Czyplyha
will probably give Exeter
one of their best fullback
combinations in years. The
half line looks equally as
strong with Dick Lord, Dave
Holmes and the 3 Weersink
brothers Alfonse. Gerald and
newcomer Robert playing.
The forward line looks good
with Shawn Rotteau, John
Muller, Paul and Jerry
Vandewalle coming back .
with added experience. They
are bolstered by the addition
of newcomers Wayne Smith,
John Van Esbroek and Gary
Dougall. -
Next game for the Cen-
tennials is in Grand Bend
