The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and registra- tion will be $3.50 per youngster. This registration fee includes a hot dog, small fries and a milk for Iunch. Firing his first shot from the 12th tee with a three wood was Bob Oesch. His shot travelled 183 yards to the cup. Kendra Arthta' and Angelina Malik, South Huron's girls' doubles entry, lost to eventual winner Seaforth in their semi-final match and then went on to place fourth. • It took Kelly Brown of Goderich three games to defeat veteran Brenda. Waldeck of South Huron in the girls' singles semi-finals. Waldeck ended up third in the draw. Steve Merrier and George Pratt were fifth in boy's doubles. Brian Blackburn had a similar placing in boy's singles. The clinic will cover out - fielding, infielding, pitching, catching, batting and base running and is geared for boys and girls softball players frompee wee age through juvenile. In case of rain, the clinic will be held on the arena floor in the Rec Centre. . Registration forms have been sent out to local minor teams and will be accepted until Tuesday May 11. If your team did not receive any forms, please call the Rec. Centre at 235-2833 and we can take registrations over the. phone. Any women interested in forming a women's slo-pitch league should attend a meeting this Thursday May 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rec Cen- tre. We are hoping to round up four team this.year and all games will be played Thurs- day nights at either 7 or 9 p.m. Anyone wishing to play or enter a team, who cannot make the meeting should call the Rec Centre at 235-2833 This Saturday May 8 the South Huron Recreation Cen- tre will feature a live band at Roller Skating. Monday night the Lucan Astros go to Lieury to meet the Jets and Tuesday action has Nairn at Sylvan, Exeter at West Corners, Bryanston at Poplar Hill and Lieury at the Lucan Irish. In an exhibition game Sunday, the Lucan Astros defeated the new Bryanston club 14-5. The combined pitching of Paul Wraith, Rick Freeman, Murray Glanville and Doug Latta held Bryanston to only four hits.
