40th anniversary service
The 40th Anniversary Ser-
vice of the Women's
Ministries of the Pentecostal
Tabernacle was held in the
church April 30. The pastor's
wife Lois Gonyou called the
meeting to order and gave the
opening remarks and in-
troductions were given.

Doreen Erb led in the sing-
ing of several choruses. Mary
Lou Tait presided at the
piano.
Jenny Kipfer offered
prayer and the offering was
received.
Shirley Prouty favoured
with a solo entitled "The
Royal Telephone." Edith
Millar read a poem entitled
"At Thy Feet." Idena DeJar-
dine favoured with a piano in-
strumental. The title of the
hymn she played was "Send
the Light."
Mary Blanchard gave some
of the highlights pertaining to
the Women's Ministries
throughout the 40 years. Mrs.
Larry . Talbot - a former
pastor's wife gave a special in
which she told of a very
delightful invitation to a
garden party at Buckingham
Palace in England. She told
how they must have a special
invitation to go to the King's
Palace . and how they must
wear the proper dress even to
a hat to go there.
She then said how we must

bowling in Richmond Hill co-
ming in 12th out of 40 teams.
Linda had the high triple of
the day 742.
Congratulations to Linda
and he team.
Four teams attended an in-
vitational bowling tourna-
ment in StrathroyApril 28.
A donation of $100 was
made to the South Huron
Recreation Department to
assist with their summer
program.
Plans were made for
several upcoming banquets,
also to supply a meal for the
Red Cross workers at the
flood Donor Clinic in South
Huron District High School
May 27.
The annual bus trip to take
place Wednesday, June 2 to
Niagara.on the Lake.
Zone C.I. Convention will be
held in Goderich Sunday May
16, 1982. Parade. at 1:30 p.m.
and meeting at 2 p.m.

will be the Provincial Officer
.in charge.
Election of Officers was
held with Dorothy Pfaff and
Annie Lawson in charge.

A joint installation of Of-
ficers will be held with the
Legion Branch Friday, May

from Seaforth presiding.

closed the meeting after
which lunch was served .by
Marg Hedley and her group.

beautiful solo entitled "The
Name of Jesus". How sweet
the Name of Jesus sounds in
a believer's ear.
Mrs. Mel Holmes, a former
pastor's wife, gave the
message of the evening. She
spoke of the signs of the times
and the soon return of Jesus.
She also emphasized the im-
portance of being prepared as
none of us know the day nor
the hour in which the Lord
will come.
Susanna Cann favoured
with a solo entitled- a'The
Harvest Field". Mrs. Hilda
Eizenga then offered the clos-
ing prayer. •
