Assisting were Burdine Morgan, Jean Noels, Mary Kernick, Florence Finkbeiner and Dorothy Hern. To introduce the study Mabel Jeffrey repeated Christ's words "I am the light of the world" and lit a candle to represent this. Following this was a comparison of the earth awakening in Spring and the Easter Resurrection. We do not fully understand either but know that God is our refuge and strength and will not foresake us if we put our trust in Him. Easter is a time of hope and a symbol of man's highest hope and death a part of reawakening. If Easter be not true, Christ would still be in the tomb. At the closing four candles were lit and carried through the audience as Mabel read "Jesus said '1 am the light of the world' and asked His followers to carry His message to all the world." Heidi Klaat, accompanied by Dorothy Wildfong, sang In the Garden. Thelma Russell conducted the business. Final plans were made for the U.C.W.
