A goal by Chris Kennedy after just one minute of play gave the "Hubcapettes" a lead they never relinquished. The game was more than half over before Sarah McClure put the "Rebels" on rd. A crowd of over 150 wat- ched as the Hubcaps roared to a 7-1,win over the Team 9 Nighhawks in �a rough contest that threatened to become a donnybrook at several points. The Hubcap's Sean Walden had four gods as he mesmerized the opposition with his deft stickhandling. In sprite of his "goon tactics", Pete Parsons intimidation paid off in two goals. The Fermat contest is part of The Canadian Mathematics Competition sponsored by the faculty of mathematics, University of Waterloo. The Fermat contest, named after a distinguished seventeenth century French mathematician, is for grade 10 and 11 students. This is the first year the contest has been offered under its present name; in previous years it was called the Junior Mathematics Contest and 'was designed for students in grade 9 as well at 10 and 11.
