A disqualification for the lane line erased whrunning t would have been a third place finish in the 400 metres by Matt McClure. McClure's time of 52.6 seconds was over a second faster than his time at the same meet last year Friday night, McClure was eighth in the 800 metre race m a time of 2.07 minutes. Susan McClure was fourth in her semi-final section of the 60 metre sprint and third in her 50 metre hurdle event. Judy Van Oss ran a strong early season race in the junior girls 800 metre. Her time of 2:43 was good enough for sixth place in her section. Irene Dietrich was sixth in her section of the midget girls' 1500 metres.
