her topic "The Light of the
Workd." Mrs. Sally Scott
conducted a couple of con-
tests and the Study Book on
Pluralism was taken by Mrs.
Alex Miller and Mrs. Lloyd
Miller. - They also showed a
film "All in our Family."

visitor were present and the.

Church Ladies on the
evening of April 5 was ac-
cepted and also a invitation
to meet with the Cromarty
W.M.S. ladies for a pot luck
dinner and meeting on Good
Friday. Mrs. Laing reported
on the spring executive
meeting.
Five ladies presented a
skit, "The Life of Bridget of
Kildare" which was enjoyed
by all. Hymn 231 and the
Lord's Prayer in unision
closed the meeting.

District Women's Institute
spring executive meeting at
Russeldale Hall, Tuesday
afternoon.
The Staffa Women's
Institute held a very suc-
cessful dessert euchre in the
township hall Wednesday
with over 100 in attendance.
Circles 2 and 3 were in
charge of the arrangements.

were at play at the Activity
Centre on Tuesday af-
ternoon. Taking prizes were
Jenny Morton, Becky Russ,
Lyle Stokes, Laura Chap-
man, Madolin Dixon and
Harold Guilfoyle.
Plan to attend another
euchre on Tuesday, March 30
at 2 p.m.
Tea and cookies were
served by the committee in
charge.
WI meets
Riverview Women's
Institute met March 2 at the
Masonic hall with the
president, Mrs. Rosser, in
the chair. Meeting opened
with the singing of the
Institute Ode followed by the
Mary Stewart Collect.
Roll call was answered by
naming a district officer of
the W.I., then minutes were
read and approved.
Sharon Craven opened the
program with two ap-
propriate poems, A Trusted
Friend and What is Love?
Jean Lee read the scripture
lesson from Luke 10 and
Mark 12, referring to the
good Samaritan, "Which

Sharon completed the
program with a nice poem.
Esther Craven gave a good
report' of the district
executive meeting held at
Ilderton. Margaret Wilson
reported on upcoming events
at the Activity Centre. A
discussion on a dessert
euchre was decided and time
to be announced later.

will be the annual meeting,
April 13 when the roll call is
wear an old hat or at least
something old or pay 25
cents. All conveners are
asked to have yearly reports

Patrick's church Sunday
after three months of holding
cottage services, thanks to
Margaret Carroll and Hazel
Davis who cleaned and aired
the church and Parish Hall
and to Hugh Davis for
clearing away the snow.
Rev. Smith was in charge of
the service.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Greenlee and friends
returned home from two
weeks in Florida
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Davis
attended confirmation
service in St. James
Anglican Church, Clan-
deboye Sunday morning and
were guests withtheireousins
