night held in St. James
church. Prizes went to -

Jackson.
They plan anotherpartyfor

Wendy and Stephen Carter
accompanied Tammy and
Steven Jennison, Grand
Bend to Stokes Bay for the
weekend of ice fishing and
snowmobiling.
Isobel Simpson celebrated
her 77th birthday, Sunday.
Her daughter and son-in-law
Joan and Pete Banks and
Krista. Brights Grove spent
the weekend with her.
Mrs. Hall passes
1982
passed away in 1959. She
moved to London in 1961 and
continued her reg. nursing
career until 1977.
While in this community
Gladys was an active
member of the Clandeboye
Women's Institute serving
as president in 1937-38 and
leading several 4-H groups.
She also was an active
member of St. Peter's
Catholic Women's league
serving a term as president
of that organization..
Many times she assisted
the Clandeboye United
Church ladies when they
were holding suppers and
social events at. the church
which was near their home
and service station. She will
be long remembered by her

The second barn fire in thi

barn of Rick Reaburn, one
and -a -quarter miles south o
Shipka, burned down. This
barn had been built by the
late .Mr. Herbert Harlton
who passed away at age 97
last year. Mr. Harlton had
been born and raised- and
lived at the Reaburn farm
for 80 years before retiring to
§hipka.
Mabel Guenther spent a
week in Courtright, with her
great niece Angela and great
nephews Bradley and Aaran
Nicholson. The children's
parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Nicholson
holidayed for a week in St.
Louis with their friend Mike
Crombeen, who plays on the
St. Louis Blues hockey team.
While there, the young
couple attended two hockey
games. Baby Corey
Nicholson stayed with his
great aunt, Dorothy Fenner,
during his parent's, holiday.

fects of a stroke suffered
