Thursday afternoon the
seniors held their second
meeting of 1982 with presi-
dent,.Mildred Hirtzel,
welcoming everyone, and
the singing of "0 Canada".
Mrs. Hirtzel suggested
that a "book exchange" be
started in the club. This was
approved and members
will bring in their books
tomorrow, Thursday.
Alex Young, a charter
member of the Lucan and
District Lions Club had pass-
ed on an invitation from the
club to all seniors in the
community, to .attend a
dinner in February. The in-
vitation was greeted
enthusiastically and
gratefully accepted.
Mr. Young will relay this
acceptance and will also
pass on a request that, if
possible, the members of the
Lions Club should take on
the distribution of the "Vials
of Life" still on hand. A

morning. The lessons were
read by the rector and his
sermon and the talk for the
children were combined as
he spoke from one of the
lessons. telling of different
ways in, which God speaks to
us.
UPCOMING: Next Sun-
day, January 24, is the an-
nual Vestry meeting follow-
ing a pot luck luncheon after
the service, and on the 31st ,
there will be a service of
Baptism • and Holy Commu-
nion.
