Lucan schools remember
Biddulph students play well at
November 10 the pupils at
the Biddulph and Lucan
Schools remembered those
who died, during the wars,
for our country.
The assembly started with
the Lord's Prayer and a few
words from our school's girl
president, April Emery. The
students were then shown a
film which showed where
the men and women died to
save their country.
A veteran from World War
1I, Sid Daley. joined in the
Remembrance Day Service
to tell the children of his ex-
periences in the war.
Todd Froats , Wendy
Nevin, Dean VanArenthals
and Colleen Malcolm placed
the wreaths in Remem-
brance. The service, which
closed with "0 Canada" will
be one which will be long
remembered.
At the Lucan Building,
Mrs. Walker's Grade 3 class
was in charge of the service.
Students from each
classroom placed wreaths
that had been made by the
public. The guest speaker
was Mr. Charles Skolly of
Granton, also a veteran.
We appreciate the support
of the Lucan Legion for our
Remembrance Day Ac-
tivities.
