As you know Tony Tiger is
away in Africa visiting our
Uncle Morris. so I will be
taking over for awhile. The

have been sticking to the

Rabies - Mr. Klaus Seegar
from Huron Unit came to
talk to grades 4-8 on a topic
that effects everyone.

topic is rabies. His advice on
symptoms of rabies are the
animal becoming wild and
biting at everything or other
cases are when an animal
seems very lazy and not
itself. Rapid animals are
afraid of liquids. If you are
bitten.callyour local doctor.

Friday Room 4 chooses their
child of the coming week and
this week we drew Wendy
Boogemans name. Wendy
brought some pictures of her
trip to Belgium and Ger-
many She also brought
some post cards. some
souvenir spoons. some
wooden shoes and a map. -

Mr. Brand Interview -
Lately. Mr. Brand has been
posting questions of no topic
in particular One of them.
for example. was "What
tree does spaghetti grow
on'?" The answer is "none.
Spaghetti doesn't grow on
trees It is manufactured."
When I asked him why he
was doing this. his answer
was. • to try to generate
some interest in developing
a more enthusiastic ap-
proach to gaining a more
general knowledge about
things 'around u' nil in the

Gosse came to talk to us
about bikes. There is a new
sticker out and you stick it
on your bike with your phone
number on it. There is
another card that you fill out
and return to the Police sta-
tion to keep on file. You can
get the cards and stickers
from Exeter or Goderich
Police Station's,. Lori
Hutchinson.
Student Teacher - Mrs.
Egener was a student
teacher at Stephen Central
School. She taught here for
two weeks. She lives outside
of Goderich. She would like
to become a teacher in
Huron County. - Vicki Des-
jardine and Joel Lamport.
Junior Boys Newcomball -
There are five teams com-
peting for first place in
Junior Boys' Newcomball. It
is just like volleyball except
you are allowed to catch the
ball. Many of the grades 4-6
are trying to encourage their
team to win. because if they
do. they get a House League
bar at the end of the year.
We will inform you of the
outcome of the finals. -

sale this month was held Fri-

the Holiday Inn Downtown,
Toronto
Delegates from this area

We heard some very
special speakers including
Mr Jim Mitchell of the Grey
County hoard of Education
who spoke on "Leadership is
Communication", Dr.
Richard Barham, from the
Department of Family
Studies. 1'. of Guelph, spoke
en -Families... Dead or
Alive'''. and Dr. Terry
Burrows. Toronto, on
Stress and Adolescents".
About 21i0 ladies attended
Irom all areas of Ontario.
Mr and Mrs. Ed Bloom-
field visited on Sunday with
Mr and Mrs W.E. Brophy
and Mr. and Mrs. Rovelle
Brophey of Blenheim.
Saturday morning the corn
drier at the mill caught fire
and several fire engines
succeeded in extinguishing
the fire in the evening it
again started to burn and a
fire engine was called. Much
damage was done.
