Boyd of the London OPP will be here to. speak to us on the prevention of crime in our community. A Neighbourhood Watch is being organized with the town people's co-operation. Everyone is expected to come and sign up. This program costs us nothing - but we can all gain from it. It is being run in conjunc- tio with "Operation Iden- tification". All topics of crime prevention in a com- munity such, as ours will be ARC OPEN HOUSE - - An Open House and Christmas craft show was held Saturday at ARC Industries in Dashwood. Wednesday evening the Craigholme Nursing Home held Volunteer Appreciation Night when the volunteers were treated to a tasty supper. Mrs. Bruce lredale, Joe and Jonathan. St. Marys. Mrs. Michelle Davis, Alison and Brandon. Wallaceburg and Mrs. Chris Cubberley, Suzanne and Cindy, Vernon, B.C. visited Saturday with Jean Copeland. Mrs. Charles Webb spent the weekend in Toronto with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Andrews. Mrs. Edith Hodgins and Mrs. Joan Barthel presented awards to the following Volunteers: Mrs. Christen Irving, Mrs. Margaret Wiley, Mrs. Ruby McLean, Mra. Hilda Cornell, Mrs. Gordon McNaughton, Mrs. Olive Currie, Andrea Kilby,Mrs. Stuart McCallum, Mra. Loreta Hughes, Mrs. Marj White, Mrs. Don Ross, Mra. Vesta Effer, Mrs. Roy Morton, Mrs. Gordon Stewart, Mra. Bill Dollar and Lou Neill. The Craigholme residents and staff express their sincere appreciation to the volunteers for their mighty fine volunteer work return to the Centre, some lively games of euchre and crokinole were played. Light refreshments were served at the close. Despite the wintry con- ditions Saturday, the Ailsa Craig United Church Women held a successful Christmas Cupboard bazaar.
