of Kippen East Institute

Mrs. Grace Drummond
chaired the meeting of
Kippen East W.I. when it
was held in Seaforth at the
home of Mrs. Jack Sinclair.
She welcomed the members
and read an article
"Achievement".
Mrs Robert Hell acted as
secretary. Mrs. Charles
Eyre was co -hostess. Mrs.
Campbell Eyre conducted
the program which began
with a sing song. Mrs. Vern
Alderdice gave the motto.
"Just when you think you
have got both ends to meet.
somebody moves the ends."
Mrs. Jack Sinclair in-
troducted guest speaker.

Rally and the Elimville par-
ty by Mrs. Drummond.
Plans were finalized for the
Christmas party. Each
group is to provide enough
food for 20.

current events and courtesy

Pepper conducted a contest.

Mrs. Bernice Boyle, the
librarian. wishes to inform
the public that a quarterly
interchange of books has
taken place at the library. A
new set of craft en-
cyclopedia is available and
talking book cassette can be
ordered for anyone finding
difficulty in reading.
Mrs. Jessie Rader and her
granddaughter Julianne
Rader of Grand Bend and
Mrs. Florence Keller were
on a bus trip to the Royal
Winter Fair. Toronto. Fri-
day.
Mrs. Everett Haist who
will be 90 this Wednesday
was pleasantly surprised
last Friday evening when
members of the UCW of
Calvary united church
gathered at her home for an
evening of cards. singing and
fellowship. also bringing
lunch and a lovely birthday
cake.
Everett Haist entered
Universtiy Hospital Monday
where he is expected to un-
dergo surgery. Frank and
Eunice Dutertre of
Dinsmore. Sask. will be
spending some time here
with the Hatsts.
Congratulations to Mrs.
Everett Haist who is 90 to-
day (Wednesday). She is en-
joying good health and is a
member of Calvary UCW
and Dashwood Seniors
where she takes an active
part.
Mrs. Frieda Keller visited
in Denfield and London last
week wtih members of her
family.
Dave and Nancy Rader
and family visited with Nan-
cy's grandmother, Mrs.
Angeline Scott at St.
Joseph's Hospital, London,
and were supper guests with
Paul and Susan Rader and
Robin.
