nold Cann.
Baby band party
Twenty four mothers and
children attended the annual
Baby Band Party held in the
church basement Saturday
afternoon.
Mrs. Glenn Rohde read a
poem and a hymn was sung.
Mrs. Rohde led in prayer.
Mrs. David Passmore read a
story "The Boy and the
Feeding of the Five
Thousand". The offering
was received.
Those graduating were
Cheryl Ballantyne, Lisa Ker -
nick. Jon Passmore, Karen
Rohde, Tammy Rohde. Mrs.
Ted Kernick welcomed
those who graduated into
Messengers. Ice cream and
cake were then enjoyed.
Church services
Mr. Lorne Thrower was in
charge of the regular chuch
service Sunday. We sang the
children's hymn Joy, Joy,
Joy. and Lorne told the
childrens story. The Scrip-
ture Lesson was James 2:
14-26.
The message was entitled,
"Faith Alive". James raised
the question "What is faith
without good works?"
He claims that faith
without works is dead, but
faith with works is alive.
Another way of repeating
the same is... that faith is
necessary for getting right
with God, but that good
works are proof that the
faith is real and alive.
How would you answer, if
you were asked. Is your faith
dead or alive?
Faith without actions is
dead... OK maybe so, but
how will we know if our ac-
tions associated with it?
How will we know that our
actions are harmonious ex-
tensions of the faith we
profess??
Sunday School teachers
and officers are asked to
meet Thursday evening
November 26 in the church
basement at 7 p.m.
