two town collisions
Exeter police investigated
two collisions this week, the
first occurring on Wednesday
near the intersection of
Carling and Huron St.
Drivers Involved were
Mike Sass, 68 William St.,
and David Webber, RR 1
Exeter. There were no in-
juries and damage was listed
at 81,000 by Constable
Sadler.
On Friday, vehicles
operated by Wilhelmina
Verberne, RR 3 Exeter, and
Marion Sriver, 31 Simcoe St.,
collided on Thames Road
east of Highway 4.
Constable Robertson
estimated damage at 81,400.
The 1980 year book con-
taining statistics of motor
vehicle accidents in Ontario
has just been released and
shows Seaforth as the lowest
of the five Huron towns in
number of accidents.
There were 31 reportable
accidents in Seaforth, 43 in
Wingham, 56 in Exeter, 60 in
Clinton and 135 In Goderich.
Both Exeter and Goderich
recorded a single fatality
during 1980.
Of the total number of
accidents in each town, there
were 24 involving injuries in
Goderich, 19 in Exeter, 15 in
Clinton, 10 in Seaforth and
only five in Wingham.
In their weekly press
release, the local police note
that their request for in-
formation regarding
