WILLIAM ROHDE The Young People held a bowling party in Exeter on Saturday evening along with their leaders Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Rowe. A good number attended and they returned to the manse with Mr and Mrs. Lorne Thrower and Jim serving coffee and donuts Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs Michael Elford on the birth of their baby daughter on Tuesday. Mrs. Elford and daughter returned home on Sunday from St. Joseph's Hospital London. Mrs. Whitmore of Toronto is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Barry Jeffery and boys. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dun- can. Mr and Mrs.- Ken Dun- can and Floud, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hodgert, Mr. and Mrs. Don Richardson and Erin were guests at the Dolmage- Milier wedding Friday even- ing at Cromarty Presbyterian Church and the reception and dance at Mitchell Community Centre. Erin Richardson was a flower girl at the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Dawson spent a few days recently at their cottage on Lake Timiskaming. The C.G.I.T. girls are hosting a Hallowe'en party on Friday evening October 30 in Elimville Church. Peo- ple from 1 to 100 years are welcome in costume. The mothers are asked to bring lunch. Last Monday afternoon Mrs. Marguerite Gibson of London and Mrs. William Rohde visited with Mrs. Alex Rohde of Mitchell. Mrs. Alex Rohde is now a patient in Stratford General Hospital. Sunday services will resume at the regular hours on Sunday November 1 with Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and church at 11:15 a.m. The November meeting of the united Church Women will be held Monday November 2 at 8 p.m. Mrs. Bruce Keys of Varna will be the guest speaker. NURSING GRADUATE — Susan Stretton, daughter of Herb and Norma Stretton, Hensall has recently graduated from the Nursing Diploma Program, Conestoga College, Kitchener. She has accepted a position at Scarborough Centeno WESTERN GRADUATE — Christine 'Ann Edwards, daugther of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Darling, graduated at the Spring Convocation of the University of Western On- tario with her Bachelor of Arts degree. She has joined the firm of Touche, Ross and Co. and is ,continuing her studies toward her Chartered Accountants Degree.
