Country Clackers
The fifth meeting of the
Country Clackers, Huro--
dale 11 was held at the home
of Karen Etherington.
Member started in the
kitchen cooking poached
eggs. Half were poached in
Water and the other half
were cooked in an egg
poacher. Toast, orange juice
and coffee finished off the
meal.
They moved to the dining
room and said the 4-H
pledge. All our members
answered the roll call. Nan-
cy Jane handed out duo -
tangs and the pattern for the
cover was • seed around.
The next meeting and club
party is going to be held on
October 16 at the Down
residence.
, The girls read over the
section on page 45 on
breakfst eggs and filled in
the blanks with Sandy
Strang, assistant'leader.
Karen quizzed the girls on
eggs from a pamphlet she
received from training
school.
Planning the party was
next. It's a Chinese party
with our friends. Clean-up

MARRIED 50 YEARS -- Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Thomson of Ex-
eter celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family
dinner and open house at the Exeter United Church, Saturday.
They were married October 10, 1931 and have two children,
Mrs. Shirley Willis, Exeter and Mrs. Joan Ferris, Shelbourne
along with nine grandchildren and seven great

Patricia Diane Lynn and Edward Twynstra were united �n
marriage September 5 at the Lucan United Church by Rev.
Keith Brown. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
Lynn, RR 2, Lucan and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Twynstra,
Southcott Pines, Grand Bend are parents of the groom.
Marylyn Groenewegen was maid of honour and bridesmaids
were Debbie Lynn and Mrs. Julie McCullum. The best man was
Peter Twynstra and guests were ushered byBrianTwynstraand
Philip Lynn. Angela McCullum was flower girl and the ring
bearer was Derik Twynstra. Catherine, Cheryl and Bonnie
Lynn sang accompanied by organist Helen Stanley. After a
reception at the Lucan Community Centre and honeymoon
around the Thousand Islands, the couple has taken up
residence at RR 3, Denfield.

a large congregation.
Residents gathered in the
auditorium on Monday after-
noon for Music Apprecia-
tion.
Ceramics were painted in
the craft room on Tuesday
afternoon.
Mrs. Elsie Henderson'
played for the Over 90 Club
on Wednesday afternoon and
it was nice to see Elsie well
enough again to participate
in the entertainment.
Bible study was led by Ex-
eter Pentecostal Church on
Thursday"afternoon. Taking
charge of the meeting was
Mrs. Hilda Eizenga with
Mary Blanchard leading in
prayer. The speaker was
Ruth McLaren and poems
were read by Edith Miller,
and Marion McLean. Susan
Cann sang the solo and Idena
DesJardine and Elmer
DesJardine sang a duet.
Mrs. Elizabeth Faber was
among the guests in the con-
gregation.
Huronview would like to
welcome Mrs. Ada
Hendericks from Clinton,
Mrs. Sarah Grealis from
Clinton and Mr. Robert
Vodden from Clinton, who is
visiting us on Vacation Care.
Also we would like to extend
a warm welcome to
Elizabeth Fletcher from Ex-

Madeline Smillie and
Muriel Davidson of Toronto
spent Thanksgiving with Ann
Brodie and Jean Murray.
