He was born in Clinton on August 17, 1950 and spent his early years in Stanley Township where he attended Public School at S.S. No. 4. After completing high school at Clinton he attended University of Waterloo, where he received a degree of B.Sc., in Honour Physics. Eng. degree. He had been engaged in research and development with Northern Telecom Canada Ltd. in Bramalea since 1977. In 1976 he was married to Shirley Wattle of Ottawa. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Charlene Elizabeth; his parents, William and Maude (MacMath) Armstrong, two brothers, Doug and James, all of RR 3 Bayfield, and two sisters Mrs. Gary (Winnie) Darnbrough, Bayfield and Mrs. Chris (Julia) Archambault, London. The funeral service was held September 24 at the Ward Funeral Home in Brampton. Rev. Stephen Farris of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Amherstview and Mr. Colin Harris of Bayfield Presbyterian church con- ducted the service. Engineer B.M. Ross & Associates have increased the design volume of the lagoon by 2.1 percent and the pumping capacity by 25 percent in a report sub- mitted to the drains com- mittee. Monday night, Councillor Bill Mickle said he felt the report was not complete In that the engineers had not estimated the additional cost involved.
