There were 11 ladies present. Co -president Glena Tripp welcomed the meeting. Minutes were read and approved. Margaret Cook gave a report of the Presbytery meeting at Kippen. The 1962 Regional will be hosted by the Thames Road ladies. The bazaar is to be held December 5 at the church. The devotions were taken by Gladys Buswell and Iva Blair. A poem My Open Heart was read by Iva Blair. Hyrnn Come Ye Thankful People Come was sung. Scripture was read by Iva Blair. Gladys Buswell gave the From two parishes story of Eunice, one of the women of the Bible. Prayer was given by Iva Blair. Hymn For the Beauty of the earth was sung. The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction and lunch was served by the committal. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Scott and family, Goderich were guests at the home of Mrs. Lorne Hicks, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Greb accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kerslake, Exeter visited with Mrs. Amos Smith in Newmarket and attended the Inter- national Plowing Match at Crown Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hirtzel spent the weekend at Fisherman's Cove, Mrs. Lorne Hicks was a recent visitor at the home of Mrs. Sid Henry, Listowel. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowden accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jaques were on a colour tour of the Muskoka District over the weekend. IRVIN RADER On the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary of Ross and Nola Love, a fami- ly dinner was held at the Dashwood community cen- tre followed by an open house when relatives and friends called to con- gratulate them and mingle with members of the family and old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Love have two sons, Don,.King City and Clare. Sarnia. two daughters, Betty Grand Bend, and Kathy. Clinton; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Congratulatory messages were received from Ed Schreyer, Governor General; Prime Minister P.E. Trudeau; Joe Clark, leader of the oppostion; Murray Cardiff, M.P.; Bill Davis. Premier of Ontario, and Jack Riddell. M.Y.P. A very generous donation to the Dashwood and Area Medical Centre was made from the over 200 relatives, neighbors and friends who signed the guest book. Seniors travel to Killarney A number of seniors from Dashwood enjoyed a cold but beautiful trip toKillarney Lodge on Georgian Bay from there they visited Sudbury and Little Current, Manitoulin. Crossing on the M.S. Chi-Cheemaun they returned home by Tober- mory. Those who went were Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn Tiernan, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hoffman, Mrs. Pearl Miller, Mrs. Thelma Beierling, Mrs. Mary Regier, Mrs. Greta Shade, Mrs. Letta Taylor, Mrs. Mildred Kellerman and Mrs. Hilda Rader. This was a Fettes tour. Mrs. Edith Beierling attended the wedding of her granddaughter, Susan Beierling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Beierling, Parkhill, recently. Richard Simpson of World Vision will be guest speaker. Dashwood Branch of Huron County Library has moved from Koehler's to the former Boyle store. Mrs. Bernice . Bdyle Is the new librarian replacing Mrs. Ray Rader who has resigned. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Love, Mossbank, Saskatchewan, are spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love and many other relatives.
