Authority
undecided
It won't be known until at
least December whether the
Ausable Bayfield Con-
servation Authority will be
moving from their present
office in Exeter or will un-
dertake a renovation and
addition project at the
current facility on Highway
83 west.
Jay Campbell told Exeter
councll this week that an
appraisal report on the
alternatives will be
presented to the full
authority meeting in
December. A recom-
mendation will be presented
at that time.
The Authority has already
held discuspions with
Usborne over a suggestion to
erect some interest in ren-
ting part of the building for a
clerk's office and to hold
their council sessions in the
board office that would be
included in a new facility.
Other highlights from the
September 2 executive
meeting that were detailed
by Campbell were as
follows: Authority had of-
fered assistance to Lucan
and Clandeboye during
recent flooding, Blu-Con
Construction awarded
contract for the Stewart
Gully erosion control
project, Paragon
Engineering awarded
contact for the Bayfield
erosion control study
($7,850). Authority staff are
opting out of OMERS,
Authority and Stephen
Township to exchange small
parcels of land regarding the
new bridge construction over
the Ausable River, Authority
to make offer of purchase of
land in Hay Swamp, ABCA to
sell off surplus equipment.
Movie buffs considered
Alfred Hitchcock to be the
master of suspense, and
rightly so. Just to maintain
that image and frighten his
house guests at the same
time, he always kept a bust
of himself in the
refrigerator.

Revival Centre
Sunday morning Rev. Ray
Brewster led the service at
the Revival Centre. Harold
Fletcher played his guitar as
he sang "God's Love is
Abundant:
Mr. Brewster introduced
Rev. Cliff Williams, from
Rochester, N.Y. who will be
the new pastor of I ucan
Revival Centre on
November 1. Rev. Williams
talked on God's selection in
our lives, from Numbers 10
to 11:6. God needs listening
ears and believing minds to
do His will, as things done for
God must be done in God's
plan. Everything we add to
God's plan is wrong mixture.
When we think we can
handle things by ourselves
we end up using substitutes
for His way as, God has
given a pattern for
Christians to follow. As we
walk our Christian life alone
with God, we learn to allow
Him to make decisions for
us. Our devotion is what will
move God in our favour.

CREDITON EAST
A slo-pitch ball tour-
nament was held in Crediton
Saturday and Sunday at the
Community park. The
Glanville Wreckers never
won a game all year and
came in with three wins and
lost the last game to the
Cobras with a score of 4-3.
They put up a good ball game
and we're proud of the
Glanville team anyhow.
Master Robt England,
Huron Park spent the
weekend with his grand-
parents and nieces Mr. and
Mrs. Stan Preszcator and
girls.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Regele
and Christopher RR 1
Princeton visited Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Stan
Preszcator and girls.
There can be no wrong
mixtures in God's service.
Sunday evening Rev. Bill
Cochrane told about he and
his wife Joan going to
Coldwater, Ontario to
minister there. Mrs. Joan
Cochrane played her guitar
while she sang "Forget
There was a Yesterday."
Rev. Ray Brewster said
that Jesus came to bless this
country so that we can bless
others. Everyone read John
3:16-17, which tells that
Jesus came for the whole
world. The blood of Jesus
Christ was shed for all
people everywhere, and is
available to all.
After the service, a
farewell gathering was held
in the Fellowship Hall for
Rev. William and Joan
Cochrane. Rev. Ray
Brewster presented them
with a gift of money from the
congregation.

Dear Betty
Times -Advocate, September 23, 1911 Page 17A
Well he did it again. Some help you were! 1 got a card and yes, money for my
birthday. Every year, the same. I guess I shouldn't complain it beats being stuck
with something I hate.
Last week 1 couldn't afford to buy anything for myself so 1 want to go back to
Gordon's Ladies Wear in Festival Square, Stratford, to spend my birthday money
on a really good outfit.
That Ports skirt and blazer was really sharp and not too expensive when you
consider the wear 1',, get out of it. I also saw a really nice blouse that would match
perfectly.
Of course it won't be just that easy. I'll change my mind, as soon as I get loose
in that store.
1 do need a winter jacket, and they have really nice Utex wool jackets with
hoods, that are very reasonably priced. Or, I could go for a Mon di wool skirt and a
Parkhurst or Spanner Sweater , for quality, value, and style its really a hard decision.
Then of course, I'm always complaining about not being able to get slacks
where the waist and bums are in the same places and proportions as mine. Mr.
Leonard slacks, always fit beautifully and Gordon's carry Mr. Leonard slacks ,
shirts and blouses.
Well, I've got supper to make ironing to do and Another World is about to
start. See you Sat.
