Moore spoke on, "God Our Keeper" and the choir provided special music. During the summer we have been singing from "Songs of the Gospel" and a sing -song was much enjoyed. Next Sunday our guest speaker will be Mrs. Evelyn Kreuger who is well known in this area. Sunday School will resume on September 13 when seals, etc. will be handed out. On Wednesday, September 9 the U.C.W. will meet at Craigholme for their regular monthly meeting. Mrs. Alice Hartle who is a member, lives there. Last Sunday, Graham and Anna Eagleson entertained their family and all their grandchildren at a dinner in honour of Joe and Joanne's marriage. Dr. and Mrs. Dan Walker, Lindsey and Allison of Ottawa visited with their Aunt and Uncle, Evelyn and Manuel Curts. Heather Bullock spent the week in Toronto with her Aunt, Mary Winterburn and her cousin, Glen. She then travelled to London by train where she spent some time with her brother Brian and his wife, Margaret. On returning home she spent a day with Tracy Heaman at Trillium Wood Campground. Last Friday, Stuart and Ruth Bullock accompanied the other employees of Maple Leaf Mills on a bus trip to Canada's Won- derland. They found it to be very enjoyable. I am happy to report that Mrs. Selbourne English has returned from St. Joseph's Hospital to her home. Valerie Wason of Blyth spent a few days recently with Robin Turner. Elsie Brophey is a patient at Strathroy Hospital. We hope she will soon be able to return home. "Fire on Ice," at Blyth Festival theatre, last Thursday afternoon, that featured the life story of their cousin. Howie Morenz. Howie was born in Mitchell in 1902. As a child he played hockey in Mitchell and Stratford. He joined Montreal Canadiens team in 1923, where he played several years and one year with Chicago Black Hawks.
