Revival Centre
Sunday morning William
Davies opened the service
reading Psalm 144:15
stressing "Happy are the
people whose God is the
Lord". Joan Cochrane,
playing her guitar, sang,
"Hail to the King".
Mr. Davis introduced the
guest speaker, Rev. Cliff
William, from Rochester,
N.Y., who spoke from Psalm
91: 1-2 and 9-10. "We need
to abide with God, as He is
our dwelling place," said
Mr. Williams. We abide with
God on a daily basis, by
God's grace. God's covering
is there whenever we need it,
protecting us from the
enemy, the devil. God has
given us homestead rights,
when we are born again. Do
we use all our strength when
satan attacks us ? Only as we
ask God to help us can we
have all the strength we need
to help us.

Sunday evening Marlene
Thornton sang "Holy Spirit"
at the start of the service,
William Davis read John
16:13-15 telling us that the
Holy Spirit shows us the
truth of God.
Rev. Williams ministered
again speaking from Mark
11:1-11. As Jesus selected the
colt that had never been
ridden, so He wants us just
as we are. Jesus sent two
disciples on this mission. He
still sends two on missions,
as one can be us, the other
Holy Spirit.
God needs us to witness
before people so they could
be loosed from sin, to turn
to God.
It takes faith to walk with
God after one is loosed from
sin. The disciples covered
the donkey with garmets,
while God covers us with His
righteousness and others
then see God in us. Once we
turn to God, we must let
Him choose the gifts of
ministry He wishes to give
us, to begin to obey the Lord,
to do what He says, without
fear.
Anglican
The 9th Sunday after
Trinity was celebrated with
a service of the Eucharist at
Holy Trinity Anglican
Church.
The Collect for this day,
says frequently and firmly
that spirituality is an
ongoing daily process. For
the most part it is a matter of
living through countless
moments of the ordinary. In
each moment we make
choices. We must act, but we
are never, stir* whether we
have acted rightly. ,
The- total4wfi; life
into which on and
action fit cannot be known to
us at the time. Therefore; we
have to commit our thinking
and doing to God, and ask to
be enabled to develop the
kind of spiritual instinct by
which we can discern what
he wills in a situation.
Paula Hodgins sang a solo
entitled "Friends are like
Flowers" accompanied by
Beaulah Hardy on the organ.
Rev. Pocock based his
Homily on the Gospel for the
Day taken from Matthew
15:21-28. God's mercy is open
to all people - those who have
chosen to remain outside the
Church as well as those who
are faithful.
It is very important to
become a part of a Christian
Community in our choice of
being the people of God,
because a great respon-
sibility is given to us. We are
to pass on the message of
God's love and mercy to all
mankind.
Worship continues at 9
a.m. for the month of
August.
