Okay Hensall annexation
Continued from front page
Village of Hensall nor has
any application been made
to the Minister of Housing
for draft approval of such a
plan. If and when such an
application for approval of a
Plan of Subdivision is made,
all its ramifications can be
considered. If anyone is con-
cerned about such a propos-
ed plan, methods are provid-
ed by the Planning Act
which allow full and com-
plete examination of such
proposals.
Police and fire protection

Suspect
gets bail
Garry Thomas Bridges,
34. of RR 3, Lucan, charged
with armed robbery, was
granted bail with the prosec-
ution's consent Wednesday.
He was released to Aug. 7
and ordered to report weekly
to police.
He is charged with robbing
the Pit Stop gasoline bar in
Strathroy early July 25.
Police said a lone male
attendant surrendered anun-
disclosed amount of cash to
a knife -wielding bandit

now pay if they become a
part of Hensall.
Though the annexed lands
are primarily good
agriculture land, Class 1 and
2. the Board accepts the
comments set out in Section
4C.5. page 21 of the Food
Land Guidelines which
recognizes that "all other
growth and development
cannot and should not stop".
It was pointed out that most
of the land in the County of
Huron is Class 1 and 2 and
that that County must have
some urban type develop-
ment.
Perhaps the most defined
concern expressed by the
objectors was that they
might lose the bussing ser-
vice now available to
students attending local
schools. If this service were
no longer available, the
children might be forced to
walk along Highway number
4. a busy and dangerous road
for any pedestrian. The
Board is satisfied from the
evidence given by the Direc-
tor of Education of Huron
County and by the wording of
the Huron County Board's
policy statement that buss-
ing will continue for school
children until reasonable
alternative safe routes are
available away from
Highway number 4, which
would allow the children to
walk in safety to the schools.
The Board is satisfied that N-4
the end result of the annexa-
tion would be for the benefit
of all concerned.
Therefore the 'Board
orders that those portions of
the Township of Hay which
are described in Schedules
"A" and "8" hereto at-
tached and shown on plans
Schedules "Al" and "Bl"
hereto attached shall, as of
January 1, 1982 be annexed
to the Village of Hensall.
The Board's Order in this
matter shall not issue until
28 days after the mailing of
copies of this decision. •
